I will tag you in the post announcing the winners if you win, and you will need to contact me to provide your shipping address, so make sure you watch for winners on October 17th!

So that’s it, reblog as many times as you want and track the tag "maggie’s chocolate giveaway" for any further details! (Also if you win and you can’t enjoy chocolate due to allergies or food sensitivities, don’t worry, we will find you some vegan candy that you CAN enjoy!)

Anonymous asked: Any articles or videos that you'd recommend for going vegan? I currently eat meat but very little and lean. I'm very serious about it and I just want to make sure I'm successful at it

Anonymous asked: How can a person be both bisexual and pansexual? That isn't to say that you're not - I just usually hear of people only identifying as one sexuality so I was curious why you identify as both.

fatassvegan:

This is a legit question, I’m actually surprised that I haven’t been asked this before. I usually wait until the weekend to answer my q’s but since tomorrow is “bi visibility day” and I plan on making a post about that, I thought I should go ahead and answer this now.

Actually, a lot of bi and pan people feel a strong connection to both groups, since there is some overlap in between. Bisexual means attracted to two or more genders, and pansexual means attracted to all genders. So one can ID as bi but fit the criteria for pansexual if they are attracted to all genders (some bi people are not,) or ID as pan and automatically “qualify” as being able to ID as bisexual since “all genders” is naturally more than two genders. There’s nothing wrong with identifying as one or both; for those who could fall into either category, it becomes more of a preference, and there are a lot of different reasons why someone might feel one label is more accurate than the other, or why someone might ID with one group more than another. Neither label is better or worse than the other.

In my case, when I first realized I wasn’t straight I came out as bisexual, because I wasn’t aware that pansexual was an orientation. Pansexual is the most accurate description of who I am because I am attracted to all genders and gender presentations, but a lot of the issues that I dealt with both inside and outside of the LGBTQIA+ community are issues that I dealt with because I was perceived (and presented myself) as bisexual. So basically, I choose to identify with both because I don’t have a strong preference towards either label, and I feel that both accurately describe my orientation and both communities share many of my own experiences. I hope that helps!

This is relevant to more than one conversation I have recently had.

Happy Bi Pride/Bi Visibility Day! If you’re looking for something to do to celebrate, bisexual-community has a whole bunch of resources here. Fellow bisexuals, know that we are important, our feelings are valid, and we are not alone. (And for the last time, it’s not a phase.) Have a great day!

Bi PrideDay/Bi Visibility Day officially happens every September 23rd (since 1999!) but as it gets more and more popular you will find Events For and About the Bisexual/(Non-Monosexual) + Queer-identified Community take place throughout the entire month of September

Mark your calendars, show your support!

If you haven’t ever tried this pesto, you probably should. It’s amazing. At $5 for a little pouch, I thought it was too steep for a long time, but it’s so incredibly flavorful I think you really can get the 5+ servings the package claims. Also, did I mention it’s probably one of the most delicious things you can buy in a package.
Having it for lunch today on some brown rice pasta with a little Daiya, some crispy tofu nuggets, and a pile of fresh local tomatoes.
